Our Nursery (Lower Foundation Stage)
Our Nursery provision currently offers 15 hours per week for children aged 3 and 4 years old. Our Nursery is available every morning (term time) 8.45am to 11.45am.
Once you have applied for a Nursery place, we will add your child to our waiting list and they will then start in Nursery at the beginning of the term after their 3rd birthday. We have 3 intakes per year so children will start, depending on when they turn 3 years old, in either September, January of after Easter. We will contact you in the term before your child is due to start to confirm if the nursery place is still required. You will then be invited to a meeting for parents where you can meet the staff and you will be given a start date. This will be followed by a Stay and Play session with your child.
Reception (Upper Foundation Stage)
Children start in Reception class in the September after they turn 4 years old. Families with children who are due to start full-time school will be contacted by the Local Authority in order to complete the application process. This process starts in September each year and all applications need to be submitted by the 15th of January. Your child will be 3 or have just turned 4 when you apply. You’ll need to apply then even if you want your child to start part-way through the year. The Local Authority will then contact families with offers of school places for primary schools on the 16th of April.
